May your days be merry and bright

Bing Crosby - original art by Andy McNallyBing Crosby – White Christmas

Now the logical assumption would be that this is from the movie White Christmas, but actually it is inspired from the movie Holiday Inn. The Holidays and holiday music would not be complete without the wonderful songs of Bing Crosby. White Christmas is perhaps his best known song. I love the old black and white movie and the style and charm of a forgotten era. The setting and time of the movie inevitably remind me of my grandparents and the photos of them from the same period. The times then were hard in many ways not to unlike the troubles of our modern times. It reminds me to cherish the time with family and friends, and to dwell less on the material things that are often the focus of the season. The beautiful line I take to heart is “may your days be merry and bright.” Wonderful sentiments. Here is hoping that you find good company, good food, and beautiful memories this holiday season.
Happy Holidays.

White Christmas

by Irving Berlin
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten, and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

Elf

Buddy the Elf - original art by Andy McNally

"Buddy the Elf. What's your favorite color?"

I thought I would try out a few more holiday movies, so this image is from the movie, Elf. Will Ferrell is hilarious as Buddy the human, raised by elves. The Jon Favreau directed movie, Elf, provides for both laughter and hope for redemption from Santa’s naughty list.

I was interviewed this past Friday by Mrs. Babbitt’s students from Jericho, Vermont via Skype. One of the student’s asked me what my favorite color is, and I thought of Buddy the Elf. It is a wonderful question, but honestly I like so many colors, it is hard to choose just one. My sister would tell you that I wear way to much gray, but I think that my favorite color is blue. What is your favorite color?

Ps. There is still time to get a copy of my Christmas Coloring Book, for a fun Holiday gift, since it is digital and does not require shipping. Only $3.

Cousin Eddie - original art by Andy McNallyCousin Eddie is a strange phenomenon.

Cousin Eddie from the movie Christmas Vacation(National Lampoons Christmas Vacation). I had such fun drawing Uncle Lewis, I thought I would try to draw a few more of the characters. What can you say about Cousin Eddie. He is crude, gross, and blissfully ignorant, however his heart is in the right place. Check out the movie if you haven’t seen it, and if you have, I’m sure you’ll agree, it is worth watching again. Remember to laugh and enjoy the Holiday season. Happy Holidays!!!

Also if your looking for a last minute gift, or something to occupy the kids during the Holiday break, check out my Christmas Coloring Book. Thanks.

Christmas Coloring Book

I’m pleased to announce my Christmas Coloring Book, a coloring book filled with Winter and Holiday themed coloring pages. The Book has printable Holiday Cards and Gift Tags to help you create unique Holiday gifts. The book is available as a Printable PDF download and also as a Deluxe Printed version. The Deluxe version includes an original drawing, just for you!!

I created a book slightly more winter themed than Holiday themed. I love the snow, mittens, hats, and scarves that make the winter fun. The lovely creations in this book celebrate both winter and the Holiday season.

My Christmas Coloring Book is an economical and creative resource for kids, parents, families, teachers, and people who love to color(your never to old to enjoy coloring). The book is appropriate for all ages, and it is filled with pages to color over and over again. Unlike traditional coloring books which you can only color once, my Christmas Coloring Book is a printable PDF file, so you can print the entire book or a single page as many times as you like. You can take a look at the book by clicking on the link under the book section on the right, or by clicking this link.

Once again, I need your help. It would be a huge favor to me if everyone could get the word out to any and everyone about the book. My goal is to sell 100 copies.  Here are two easy links to the book page:
